In House Exhibition 2019

"FIT for Future" was the motto for this year's IHT Automation in-house exhibition that was held recently in Hauenebstein. The company spent two interesting days with some of their important customers with help from some top-class exhibitors. A varied programme included various lectures, live demonstrations on the company's own cutting machine and a visit to partner company ARKU.

True to the event’s motto "FIT for the future", the first day was given over to several fascinating lectures on current trends in the metal cutting industry. The main focus was on the automation of the Oxy-Fuel process, but an insight was also given into the future of plasma and laser cutting. Dr. Schnick of Oscar PLT GmbH showed the attendees why it is important not to miss the train when it comes to Industry 4.0. During the various cutting demonstrations, IHT Automation also presented its APC solution (Automatic Process Control) for the automation of Oxy-Fuel cutting.

Some of the participants also took the opportunity to visit IHT’s local partner, ARKU to see the operation and possibilities of their straightening and deburring machines.

The first day was rounded off by a visit to one of Baden-Baden's most beautiful vineyards. Good wine, tasty snacks, a great view and relaxed conversation was a great way to wind down after a very enjoyable and informative day.

The second day started with basic training on Oxy-Fuel cutting which included demonstrations of packaged solutions for the automation of both Oxy-Fuel and Plasma machines. The focus of the second day was on optimising the cutting process by intelligently applying automation and networking.

IHT’s Managing Director Kurt Nachbargauer says the feedback he has had to the event confirms that they achieved what they set out to do: "Our in-house exhibition was an ideal platform for an open exchange within the industry. The consistent, positive feedback from our visitors shows that such events are needed and they will continue to be important for the cutting industry".

IHT Automation would like to thank all the visitors and exhibitors for helping to make this event so successful and looks forward to repeating it soon.
